Successful "hands-on" practices in the 8th Fetal Neurosono Masterclass

Volutracer OPUS, cutting-edge education just a click away

For the third year in a row, Volutracer OPUS was the simulation system chosen by renowned professor Gustavo Malinger and his team to perform ultrasound practices in his prestigious annual course: 8th Fetal Neurosonography Masterclass.

Between February 24 and March 5, attendees from Portugal, Turkey, Chile, Australia, Poland, India, Mexico, Germany and Canada enjoyed 6 fully remote days of guided simulation from the comfort of their homes, with more than 50 exclusive cases of prof. Malinger, who directed everything through interactive webinars together with professors Karina Krajden Haratz and Mauricio Herrera

Some of the cases performed with OPUS optical transvaginal transducers were CNS malformations, Holoprosencephaly, Microcephaly, corpus callosum, Stroke, hemorrhage, Infective fetopathy, Midbrain-Hindbrain malformations, Cerebellar hypoplasia, Congenital Zika virus syndrome, Ventriculomegaly, Cysts and tumors among many others.

Shiri Shinar, Chief Resident of Tel Aviv Medical Center, shared her satisfaction after the conference: “It was a wonderful experience with the OPUS simulator in the last neurosonography course”.

Volutracer OPUS is an ultrasound learning and training system, based on optical positioning simulation, that can be installed on any laptop or PC. This allows access to practice normal and pathological cases without time limits and anywhere, either with the convex or endocavitary transducer.

The OPUS teaching method has in recent years become a standard for ultrasound education, on-site or remote.
